Choosing the right finish
Most fabrication work uses 2B — the smooth, matte cold rolled finish that welds and forms predictably. BA (bright annealed) suits appliance fronts and reflectors; No.4 and hairline are the standard brushed decorative finishes; 8K mirror is used for elevator cabins and feature walls. Protective film can be specified and is confirmed with the finish and packing route.
Tolerance and flatness
Thickness tolerance follows the governing dimensional standard. Tighter thickness, flatness or diagonal tolerances for laser-cut panels must be stated in the RFQ and accepted for the quoted processing route.
