2B Stainless Steel Finish

2B is the standard smooth, low-reflectivity cold-rolled stainless finish produced by annealing, pickling and a light skin pass; it is the default for general fabrication.

Appearance

  • Smooth grey surface with low to moderate reflectivity and no directional polishing grain.

  • Cold rolling

Protection and acceptance

  • Specify one-side or two-side surface quality
  • Select PVC, PE or laser film for the downstream process
  • Inspect tone, scratches, roll marks and flatness under agreed lighting

Common defects to control

  • Coil-to-coil shade variation
  • Roll marks or pressure lines
  • Scratches trapped below protective film

  • 304 stainless sheet, ASTM A240/A480, 1.5 x 1219 x 2438 mm, 2B both sides, laser film on the working face, agreed scratch and flatness criteria.
