When should ASTM G48 testing be added to a duplex plate order?
Add it only when the project specification calls for the method, specimen condition, temperature, duration, acceptance and report. The material standard alone does not define every project corrosion test.
How is traceability maintained on cut 2205 plate parts?
Agree a parent-plate map, part identifiers, marking-transfer method, witness points and remnant policy before cutting. The required record then follows the accepted inspection plan.
Can the higher strength of 2205 automatically reduce plate thickness?
